I spend a lot of my time waving my arms at musicians in the hope that I won’t make everything worse, and I follow a similar routine throwing words onto the screen. I blog at least once a week on a variety of subjects and have now written two books: Waving, Not Drowning (a searing exposé of the Art of Conducting) and Why Do Birds Suddenly Disappear? (the story of my return to birdwatching after a gap of thirty-five years), which will be published on 17th May by Unbound.
If you’re a book blogger and would like an early copy of Why Do Birds Suddenly Disappear? for review, do get in touch.
And if you’re an orchestra wanting me to wave at you, a journalist wanting to do an interview, or anyone wanting to chat about anything, do email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
